Glengoyne 10 Year Old Scotch Whisky | 70cl
Glengoyne is a unique distillery in that the stills are located in the Scottish Highlands, yet the distillery stores are located in the Lowlands - due to the distillery being located on the border between the regions. The other unique aspect is the the barley is warm air dried rather than using peat smoke which imparts a delicate, almost floral nature to their drams. The 10 Year Old has flavours and aromas of fresh green apples, toffee and a hint of nuttiness; a trademark taste that is courtesy of Scotland's slowest distillation. A superb, beautifully packaged Glenmorangie. Signet is distilled from malt with a good portion of chocolate malt too. Chocolate malt is heavily roasted malted barley. Finish: Dries and becomes pleasantly rubbery, fruity. Overall: Utterly superb. Alcohol 46% Volume.€215.00Add to cart -
Laphroaig 10 year Old | 70cl
Laphroaig (La-froyg) single malt Scotch whisky has always kept itself a bit remote, like the islanders of Islay themselves. A touch aloof a first, but make the effort, broach acquaintance, and you'll have a warm and genuine friend for life. Take it neat like a stalwart, or with a splash of soft water. Roll it around on your tongue. Release the pungent, earthly aroma of blue peat smoke, the sweet nuttiness of the barley, the delicate, heathery perfume of Islay's streams. Close our eyes, and imagine the waves lapping Laphroaig, "the beautiful hollow by the broad bay". Alcohol 40% Volume.€52.00Add to cart -
