Castello di Monsanto | Chardonnay | 75clBorn in 1980 from a challenge of Fabrizio Bianchi to create a white wine of great character in an area which was not especially dedicated to it, this selection of Chardonnay from the Valdigallo vineyard, 3.50 hectares at an altitude of 260 metre a.s.l. exposed to the north-east, is vinified half in 5 hl French barrels and the other half in steel. It ages over two years in glass before the sale. Its great capacity to age makes it possible to enjoy its characteristics to the best after many years from the harvest.

Castello di Monsanto | Nemo | Cabernet Sauvignon | 75clBorn in the vineyard “Il Mulino” at 260 metres a.s.l., planted in 1976 with only Cabernet Sauvignon. Its name comes from the famous saying “Nemo propheta in patria” which in those years – the first harvest was in 1982 – was well-suited to the avant-garde and pioneristic spirit of the company. After the vinification in steel, it ages for 18 months in oak barriques and ages another year in glass.
