Our Food Story 9 | Il Biscotto al Burro Occelli

There is something so beautiful about Butter Biscuits. They’re quick and simple to make, yet the perfect taste of homemade! 

Preparation time | 25 minutes

125 g Beppino Occelli Butter
25g Ogygia honey
170g granulated sugar
40g cream
200 g whole spelt flour
100g eggs
15g yeast
80g almond flour
120g potato starch
2g Ogygia Gozo Sea Salt
50g dark chocolate chips
1g vanilla in bourbon berries
0.5g cinnamon

Combine the soft butter with the sugar and honey.

Once you have obtained a soft cream, add the salt, vanilla, cinnamon, cream and the eggs.

Add flour, baking powder, almond flour and potato starch.

With the dough, add the chocolate chips. With the help of a pastry bag, form spikes on baking paper, well spaced as they will tend to widen.

Bake at 170 degrees for about 15 minutes. Leave to cool and serve.
