Our Philosophy

Imagine the perfect wine and retail experience. We did…and now we’ve created it at Vini e Capricci. A gourmet food and wine shop where you can sample wines and food every day…and then shop!

“Not only was it my vision to create an outlet supplying retail and trade clients with an exclusive selection of gourmet foods, award-winning wines and spirits to delight even the choosiest connoisseur, but I wanted to integrate a strong educational element. Not only do we want clients visiting Vini e Capricci to try before they buy, but we want to host events, tastings and the marrying of food, wine and art – all under one roof.”

One side of our business caters to tasting and trying new wines, offering the best gifts and carrying very unique gifts. The other side strives to be everything our customers expect, honest, hardworking, “fun to be around”, knowledgeable and we promise to provide the best customer service.

The Wine Cellar is always open offering current release and new arrival wines. We will tell you what we’re excited about, guide you and answer any questions. We love to encourage you to try something new!

Apart from trying new wines and food, we also love to educate our customers about the products that we sell, and how best to serve them, to this aim we also organise Master Classes Wine Pairing Events and even Gourmet Tours abroad.

Vini e Capricci is located within the Gozitano Agricultural Village. Already this is an element that distinguishes it from an ordinary deli. But that’s what’s inside that leaves you flabbergasted.

Donatella Cinelli Colombini Venue Suite

The Hall is a striking, high specification, modern room located on top of Vini e Capricci Shop. Whether you are planning an event, conference, private meeting, training session or seminar, our range of modern facilities in a convenient location can meet your needs.

The Venue Suite can accommodate both standing and seated functions, with facilities for film, sound and video presentation. This, combined with a team of onsite technical expertise.

We offer extremely flexible catering arrangements for conferences. Coffee and tea, with biscuits or cakes, can be served in the Venue Suite. Various menus are also available on request, with food preparation all done in the Kitchen.

We pride ourselves on the highest level of service, always attentive without being intrusive. Your conference and event will have a dedicated manager who will be involved from the first meeting and will be drawn from our highly-qualified team to ensure that your event is a complete success.

Gianfranco Berta Lounge

As you walk into our Lounge; it’s like stepping into a grand archive or a master library of spirits and liquor. You will instantly appreciate and acknowledge the years spent by master distillers honing and perfecting their craft – enabling us to bring you our extensive selection of artisan alcohol. Our spirits have all been specifically chosen because of their taste, rarity or unusual distillation technique, creating a distinct highly sought after taste.

Our Lounge is home to over 300 different spirits. We have a great range of Whiskey, Grappa, Cognac, Armagnacs and Rums and an interesting selection of direct imported Gins; including an aged gin matured in cherry casks. We also sell Vodka, Brandy, Tequila and rare drinks sourced from all over the world. So, if you’d like to update or extend your alcohol collection this is the right place.

Our Whiskey range includes 60 or more different types including: Scottish, Irish, American and the highly desirable but hard to source Japanese Whiskey. Whether you are partial to peated, sweet, smokey or blended whiskey – we will definitely have liquors to suit your palate and preference.

We are hugely proud of our extensive Grappa collection (an amazing liquor made from grape must, aged in barrels) which has taken years for us to collect.

This is a unique location where you can taste the mastery, toil and talent of experienced distillers worldwide.

Vinoteca Livio Felluga

Our Vinoteca gives our customers a unique dining experience. This seats around 30 people; offering an intimate, relaxed and welcoming dining experience for all the family; bringing you the best in modern Italian/Mediterranean cuisine.

Our chefs regularly use the gourmet food which we have sourced for our store and incorporate these ingredients into their dishes too.

As we refresh our menu seasonally, we strive to include the best fare and are confident of bringing new taste experiences even to our most loyal, regular restaurant customers.

Plus, the unique advantage our clientele have when dining at the Vinoteca is that there’s a meat counter, an extensive wine cellar and an extensive list of Wine by the Glass.

It has taken our specialist team years to develop the extensive wine portfolio which we have today. Whether you are partial to red, white, rosé or the sparkling variety – our wine cellar stocks over 700 different wines from 56 wineries worldwide. This includes wines from every corner of the globe: from Italy, Sicily, Lebanon, France, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Greece, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Argentina, America, Australia, South Africa – not forgetting the fabulous local wines produced in Malta and Gozo.

The recent re-design of our wine cellar; means that we now have an enjoyable and inviting space ideal for hosting the many wine tasting and wine tapas events we hold here for couples and groups up to 16 people. So, if you are looking for a unique venue to gather together with family and friends; why not experience our wine cellar, enjoy some tapas as you sample 5 of our specially selected monthly wines? We’ve always believed in doing everything we can to make everyday a bit more special, especially in times like these, and what could be more special than a wonderfully comforting cup of coffee and an irresistible cake before your shopping gets started.

Whether you enjoy a cup of tea, coffee or a hot chocolate, it is always a good start when sharing a warm cup n’ some chit chat.

For the first time, we’re also introducing our new Afternoon Tea or the Ora del Tè, an extraordinary version of this oh-so-timeless tradition for centuries! A classically British affair translated into an Italian twist.
